John 12:23-26
23. Jesus said: The time has come for the Son of Man to be given his glory.
24. I tell you for certain that a grain of wheat that falls on the ground will never be more than one grain unless it dies. But if it dies, it will produce lots of wheat.
25. If you love your life, you will lose it. If you give it up in this world, you will be given eternal life.
26. If you serve me, you must go with me. My servants will be with me wherever I am. If you serve me, my Father will honor you.
Jesus Christ is the center of our lives. In Him, we find true life. He is our wonderful Lord, saving us from sufferings, including death. Today, we can experience the glorious time of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ. In John 12:23, He said, ¡°The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.¡± We all hope our time is filled with glory, but this is not easily achieved. Without Jesus Christ, we can never experience our moment of glory. Jesus has the marvelous power to transform our times into glorious events.
In John 12:24, we discover the secret of Jesus Christ¡¯s power to produce a bountiful harvest from a single grain. This passage symbolizes Jesus Christ¡¯s crucifixion and resurrection. His miracles are not always realized in grand events; they often manifest significantly in seemingly small events, like a single grain. As the scriptures in John 12:25-26 illustrate, Jesus laid down His life for us on the cross. Yet, our Father God honored Him by giving Him the most wonderful name above all names. This is the marvelous mystery in the life of Jesus Christ.
