Acts 10:39-41
39. We all saw what Jesus did both in Israel and in the city of Jerusalem. Jesus was put to death on a cross.
40. But three days later, God raised him to life and let him be seen.
41. Not everyone saw him. He was seen only by us, who ate and drank with him after he was raised from death. We were the ones God chose to tell others about him.
We have a very special vocation for Jesus Christ. It is that we are witnesses to Jesus Christ¡¯s resurrection. Jesus was put to death on a cross in the city of Jerusalem (Acts 10:39). ¡°But three days later, God raised Him to life¡± (Acts 10:40). And Jesus¡¯ disciples could see that Jesus was raised from the dead (Acts 10:41). We are all workers for Jesus Christ, chosen by God. Therefore, we should announce clearly to the people that Jesus Christ has the authority to forgive their sins (Acts 10:43), since Jesus has the power to judge the living and the dead (Acts 10:42). We believe that all glory belongs to Jesus Christ in His glorious name (Acts 10:43).
