Jesus Christ’s power is proven to be true through His healing of many people’s diseases. The weakness of our body is an important clue that leads us to Jesus Christ.
In Luke 6:18, it is written, “These people had come to listen to Jesus and to be healed of their diseases. All who were troubled by evil spirits were also healed.” Jesus’ power can heal our spirit, body, and soul when we are troubled by disease. This is evidence that God blesses us.
When we follow Jesus Christ, we may experience suffering, such as being insulted and having cruel things said about us (Luke 6:22). In those moments, we should remember that an easy life is not always good. Jesus Christ said, “But you rich people are in for trouble. You have already had an easy life!” (Luke 6:24).
When we are poor, hungry, and weeping, Jesus Christ will give us His kingdom, provide us with plenty to eat, and turn our sorrow into joy (Luke 6:20-21). Even in times of suffering, we can experience God’s blessing. That is the privilege of all Christians.
