We have the story of salvation in Jesus Christ, and that story is very powerful. In it, we can read about God¡¯s promise—a promise that includes the land and its crops. The significance of this promise is that the land and its produce are given to us by God. The Lord our God promised this land and its abundance to our ancestors and has fulfilled that promise for us (Deuteronomy 26:3).
Moreover, God hears our cries when we are in trouble and suffering from oppression (Deuteronomy 26:7). The Egyptians brought great hardship upon God's people, but God rescued them from Egypt through His mighty miracles (Deuteronomy 26:8). In the end, He brought them into a rich land, flowing with milk and honey (Deuteronomy 26:9).
We are called to respond to God's blessings through our worship. This response includes inviting the Levites and the foreigners who reside among us to share in God¡¯s provision (Deuteronomy 26:11). May our response be filled with gratitude, and may God¡¯s mercy abound in our lives.

Deuteronomy 26:11
Then you and your family must celebrate by eating a meal at the place of worship to thank the Lord your God for giving you such a good harvest. And remember to invite the Levites and the foreigners who live in your town. |
