The Lord our God shares His vision with us. As we walk in faith, aligning ourselves with God's vision is essential. His vision is always forward-looking, tied to His divine promises and plans for the future.
One of the most profound examples of this is found in God¡¯s promise to Abram. The Lord said to him, ¡°Look at the sky and count the stars, if you are able to count them. That is how numerous your descendants will be¡± (Genesis 15:5). At that time, Abram had no children, yet he believed in the Lord¡¯s promise. His faith pleased God, and it was credited to him as righteousness (Genesis 15:6).
Abram¡¯s journey of faith began in Ur of the Chaldeans, a thriving center of civilization in his time. Yet, God called him to leave that place and journey toward the land He had prepared for him (Genesis 15:7). Abram obeyed, trusting in God's vision even when the destination was unknown.
In this, Abram becomes a model of faithful obedience. His life demonstrates what it means to trust in God's promises and walk in His vision. Through unwavering faith, Abram saw God's plan unfold, revealing that faith is not just about belief—it is about action, obedience, and trust in the unseen.
May we, like Abram, embrace God's vision for our lives, trusting that His promises are sure and His plans are always good. Let us walk in faith, knowing that God is faithful to fulfill what He has spoken.
