God always gives us very special gifts, and among them the greatest is the Holy Spirit. In this world, we need many things-houses, clothing, and food-but we cannot truly live without the Word of God. Everything in Scripture is God’s Word, and it teaches us how to live (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Abraham trusted God and His Word, and through that faith he experienced the holiness of “The LORD Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14). In his faithful journey, the land of Moriah became both a place of suffering and of blessing.
Jesus said, “If you want to save your life, you will destroy it. But if you give up your life for me and for the good news, you will save it” (Mark 8:35). We should always remember that the witness of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion is inseparable from the witness of His resurrection.
