Jacob's life was filled with many difficulties, much like our own. Yet in this event, he reached a turning point. He saw God face to face and received a new name-Israel. That night, the man who wrestled with Jacob declared, "Your name will no longer be Jacob. You have wrestled with God and with men, and you have won. That's why your name will be Israel" (Genesis 32:28). The name Israel symbolizes victory. May God's victory guide our lives at every moment. Amen.
